Why acrylic is used in Tankmakers' Aquarium?

At Tankmaker.com, we made fish happy and take pride in everything we do including provide a sound and safe aquarium through acrylic. Acrylic material allowed one could design, assemble, and fabricate all in house through liquid acrylic bonding. Acrylic plastic was first produced in 1928 and brought to the market by Rohm and Haas Company around 1933. I) Safe: It is extremely durable material that is 10x times stronger than glass. II) Ease of Maintenance: Acrylic is easy to clean and polish. It is possible to remove light scratches from acrylic with special abrasive compounds. III) Excellent Optical Clarity: Clear Acrylic has a 92 percent light transmittance rate (exclude allow UV-C wavelengths (100–290 nm). We have performed a clarity test, and Acrylic was found to have better clarity than the glass including the crystal grade.

Another test was done for scratches. It showed the same effect that glass attenuate the yellow picture that appeared greenish.

Section B - Acrylic & FRP Tanks

This section covers the 150 units of acrylic tanks and 20 units of 5,000-gallon FRP tanks supplied by Tankmaker.com Team in 2003 together with a turnkey Aquaponics Project.The quality aquarium tanks manufactured by Tankmaker are the heart of the Aqua Project and aquaponics factory. One could imagine how the situation could be if hundreds of tanks and pond in indoor farm start to leak or give way.

Section c - On-site construction

This section covers the on-site tank construction process. Tankmaker Team support the on-site work for aquarium unable to be delivered in completed form i.e. tank bigger than the access path or need to be wrap around pillar as per this example.

Section D - Order process

This section covers the order fulfilment process from Tankmaker, with reference to a bullet-shaped aquarium with void for a client in SG. The journey took 2 years; Tankmaker team participated in all stages from RFQ, design, prototype validation, delivery to installation. 100% payment was paid by customer before installation.
